Aug 20, 1988
At the age of twelve the family moved to the United States of American where John along with his siblings enrolled in school and settled in their new home in New Jersey.

Quiet by nature,  John has always had an observant personality, choosing to speak few words in the company of others.

Summer, 1991
John, at the age of fifteen, took up a part time job in a local mall cafe. A few stores away an art gallery. It is there that his love for art grew. Many hours were spent in that gallery once he befriended the owner. Joan Miro, and Vincent Van Gogh were his favorite artists at that time.

Around, 1996
The last five years, from 991, John spent many hours learning about art, studying old masters, and their use of style, color and technique. it was mostly an observant study, till In 96 with the encouragement of the gallery owner, he decided to take up painting him self.

1996-2006
The next 10 years his work developed greatly, painting out of his basement and bedroom. Those were very exciting years for him as he delved him self into different styles and techniques. Color was his foundation and inspiration, and he perfected it's harmony and balance on the canvas. In the later part of the 10 years, his work was starting to be collected mostly through word of mouth, friends and colleagues and the internet.

March 2006
Making the move to New York City. At the age of 29, having established his work and confidence John took the leap to the capital of the art world, settling downtown in the TriBeCa area. The rest is to be written... His work is sold exclusively by him, both to save the buyer the usual 50-75% gallery markups and secondly, to build a relationship directly with his collectors, that's is very important to him.

His thoughts:

John's work is a "...abstract-expression of my subconscious mind depicting events, objects, and occurrences I come across in my life." His work is about the simple things in life, and his love for child-like simplicity is evident in his work, "...If something is complicated my goal is to simplify it, if something is blurred I try to clarify it."

John's use of color is like no other, his color balance & harmony is mastery, "....color is the foundation of my work …because in color our feelings are defined." Color according to him "...is evoking." and he tries to induce positive and heartening emotions in his work.
